No confidence in humanity?
That's pretty harsh, don't you think? Just my thoughts but what makes us human is our free will, our ability to think and make decisions. Our likes and dislikes are what make us unique. Why is someone selfish because they didn't like the movie? How would they know they didn't like it.. unless they went to see it? Perhaps some of the people "who would love to have seen the movie in advance" may not have liked it either. I thought the trailer looked great but I didn't happen to like it either. This site is open to the public and passes are first come first served. I am in awe of the nasty comments and attitudes people have when they don't obtain passes. We should all be grateful this site is even here with those kinds of comments.

i agree with that guy....i would have loved to see the movie early. instead i was forced to wait a few hours until the movie was actually released. i've also lost faith in humanity.

I've no confidence in humanity if you didn't like this film. It's R-rated. Expect gore and language. Maybe next time you shouldn't be so selfish and snatch every free pass laid before your eyes. Read about the film you are going to, because there are other people who would've loved to see the film early.

I was very disappointed in this film!!! It was not what I expected at all! Alot of blood and gross killings, I agree with one of the other comments... there was too much hype to this film only not to deliver a good movie!!! I wouldn't recommend this film to anyone!

District 9 was an awesome, violent and excellent sci-fi take on conditions in South Africa
I've read many negative comments on the violence and language used in District 9, but if the viewer understands the science fiction version of what is going on in South Africa, the gore and language is an accurate, gritty real-world portrayal of the situations that are happening to refuges and people living in similar horrid conditions and camps there. This was a thinking person's sci-fi, and quite refreshing from the mindless, meaningless explosive eye-candy of typical hollywood endeavours (Transformers 2, for example),

I had a screening pass to this one but we missed the screening. We paid $ to see it last night, what a waste of money and time!

I have to agree, I was also very disappointed in this movie!! It was an interesting idea for a movie, however, it fell short with the pace of the movie being very slow and some inconsistencies in the plot. Very gorey and violent and at times over excessive language.
