A brisk action-packed buddy cop movie from the director of the classic Swashbuckler 'Werckmeister harmóniák'. The car chase in the end sets a new standard for movie chase scenes, even surpassing those of The French Connection and 12 Angry Men. And the SFX in the car crashes were amazing, the 3D aspect made them very intense. Not many movies use 3D glasses, but for a vibrant fast paced action film like this it works perfectly. My only complaint is that at a mere 82 minutes it's all over much too quickly.

A little too long, sci-fi action movies are better when they're kept down to about 90 minutes. Also not enough of the movie took place in space, the trailers made it seem like the whole thing was in space, but really just the last 1/2 hour was. Will Smith was excellent though, and Pullman made a convincing president. As far as Spielberg directed films go, I prefer City of Angels, Driving Miss Daisy, and of course his magnum opus Hook. 2 1/2 stars out of 5

if they are unable to provide minneapolis screenings so be it, we can spend our time elsewhere and our entertainment dollars elsewhere, we are not dependent on film nor any given promotion scheme
