| i am new and I never seem to get tickets. how do i know when to be here to get a ticket. I wanted to see this Distric 9 movie but I missed it. HELP PLEASE!!! |

How to score tickets on FilmMetro
|
| Lots of ways to get a free ticket. (1)Keep looking often. Sometimes brand new tickets pop up at random. (2) Other times they announce that a tickets will be available on a certain date and time (typically several days in the future at 10pm). The announcement for District 9 posted a couple of days early and I gather over 100 people were scrambling during the first few minutes of the designated time. If you get kicked off the page before you can get your ticket, keep trying as long as the San Diego page says it's still available. Come in 10 to 30 minutes later and the popular ones are sold out. Less popular screenings stay available for days. (3) Even after it is sold out, keep looking because people who suddenly find they can't go turn their tickets back in, making them available at random times up to a couple of hours before showtime. (4) Post more than your username on your registration site such as a photo or description so that someone might be willing to share an extra ticket with you. (5) For the truly desperate, you can troll for tickets at the actual theater line and someone might have one and be willing. That means someone had to tell you where and when it's playing and you have to get there early, and you could still go home without getting in. Some do what you did, just post a request, offering popcorn or just asking. Don't expect to get a ticket every day. One pair of tickets every couple of weeks is probably better than average. And then, of course, if you get impatient waiting for a free ticket, go pay for one when the film you missed comes out a few days later. Good luck. |

| Sacred, the tix usually appear around 12-2pm our time. And on the distric 9 it stated they were going to post it on the 13, but for some reason on monday they were all sold out..so Its a matter of luck i guess.... keep on trying...or usually you could post on here that you are looking for an extra tix and post your email.... some are helpful... |
