| This is what is know as recession filmmaking in Hollywood. Base a script on a tried and proven storyline, and get a notable Hollywood actor (Sela Ward) to help market the film. 'The Stepfather' is a worthy rendition of the evil stepfather tale, but do we ever need to see this story told again on film? After all, we all basically know what is going to happen before grabbing our first handful of popcorn. <**Stars> |
