| They did a great job making the characters resemble the original people. Swank did a marvelous portrayal of Amelia. It was very interesting to learn about The Ninety-Nines: International Organization of Women Pilots, which was founded on November 2, 1929 at Curtiss Field, Valley Stream, New York for the mutual support and advancement of women pilots. The group is named for the original 99 licensed women pilots who attended the meeting or expressed an interest in joining the group. Earhart was one of the charter members and president in 1931. Currently, the organization has 5,230 members in thirty countries. You go girls!! |
