THIS IS IT

It was so great to see Michael Jackson's concert footage. However better sweet, it was moving, compelling, and above all entertaining.

MJ Film a fitting tribute
The premiere for "This Is It" was better than I expected. I think charges that the family or someone else is just cashing in on MJ's death should be layed to rest with this well made rehearsal film that was truly a tribute to the gloved-one. It was important to show that he was ready for this tour, appeared to be in relatively good shape, and might really have made a success of his comeback. Yes, maybe it makes the end result all that more tragic, but it helps put a shining closing chapter on a legacy. I could feel for those who got close to Michael in the rehearsals, and one young blonde girl in particular, sexy Orianthi Panagaris, 24-year old guitar wizard from Australia, really walked the walk with MJ on stage. It was sad for all they didn't get to realize the TOUR, but the film itself focused on the dream, not the reality. Fittingly done. Director Kenny Ortega did a great job of pulling this one together, and Allied did a good screening in La Jolla with a few colorful t-shirts for a lucky few. See this film.

Also stay until the credits are over...
Don't leave the theater, there is something at the end of the credits. MJ still had it and boy was he a perfectionist. Still had the voice and the moves, although rusty, were still there.
