Synopsis:

What if mankind had to leave Earth, and somebody forgot to turn the last robot off? Academy Award®-winning writer-director Andrew Stanton ("Finding Nemo") and the inventive storytellers and technical geniuses at Pixar Animation Studios ("The Incredibles," "Cars," "Ratatouille") transport moviegoers to a galaxy not so very far away for a new computer-animated cosmic comedy about a determined robot named WALL•E. After hundreds of lonely years of doing what he was built for, WALL•E (short for Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-Class) discovers a new purpose in life (besides collecting knick-knacks) when he meets a sleek search robot named EVE. EVE comes to realize that WALL•E has inadvertently stumbled upon the key to the planet's future, and races back to space to report her findings to the humans (who have been eagerly awaiting word that it is safe to return home). Meanwhile, WALL•E chases EVE across the galaxy and sets into motion one of the most exciting and imaginative comedy adventures ever brought to the big screen. Joining WALL•E on his fantastic journey across a universe of never-before-imagined visions of the future, is a hilarious cast of characters including a pet cockroach, and a heroic team of malfunctioning misfit robots. Filled with surprises, action, humor and heart, "WALL•E" was written and directed by Andrew Stanton, produced by Jim Morris, co-produced by Lindsey Collins and features original and innovative sound design by Academy Award®-winner Ben Burtt ("Star Wars," "Indiana Jones," "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial").

Well I hope the powers to be
look at this list of unhappy people (and the fact that the TIME for all the comments are 12:06 a.m....i.e the time hasn't changed) and thus look into the situation/issue. I find it odd that that only 1 person was able to get a pass while others could not..and I refreshed every 2-3 secs and never saw the download pass link EVER (from 1 min available to SOLD out)

manthan33 Jun 22, 2008 @ 12:06 am 0   Good Poor
There is something wrong
there is something wrong its obvious...

sinnr Jun 22, 2008 @ 12:06 am 0   Good Poor
I have no explanation...
It sounds like I did the same thing as everyone else. I've been on the site refreshing every few minutes since probably 9PM tonight. Then when 10:58 or so hit, I started doing refresh to new windows. For about 2-3 minutes, I got tickets are not available, then it hit.

tomv Jun 22, 2008 @ 12:06 am 0   Good Poor
Anyone know of a way of getting the
powers to be (other than the "Contact US" link and post there) ? I find this very suspicious...

kdoss Jun 22, 2008 @ 01:06 am 0   Good Poor
"THIS SUCKS!"
The pissed off list continues to grow. What gives?

HOW FILMMETRO WORKS - For Denver FilmMetro Members
Denver FilmMetro members. Wow, Lots of comments from people who didn't get tickets. Not sure if anyone here read this before posting their comments, but here is a statement from the FilmMetro blog posted at http://www.filmmetro.com/feeds/

We have received many comments from the FilmMetro community regarding the ticket status changing from COMING SOON to SOLD OUT without the member being able to download a ticket. These comments typically come in response to popular movie like IronMan or The Dark Knight (or in the case of Denver - Walle). Here are a couple of guidelines for why this happens and how to increase your chances of actually getting a movie screening ticket.

First, The number of tickets provided for each screening will always vary. For popular movies, members should expect that the number of tickets provided will only be a limited number. This is because there is already a large amount of people looking to see the movie, so offering more screenings isn't needed as much. As a general rule of thumb, here is what FilmMetro members should expect when looking for tickets.

Blockbuster Movies = Small Amount of Tickets
Popular Movies = Medium Amount of Tickets
Small/Independent Movies = Large Amounts of Tickets

Second, when a screening is SOLD OUT, its because the speedy FilmMetro members have downloaded all the tickets. FilmMetro will provide a countdown to when the tickets will become available. Make sure you are logged in and refreshing the page as the time gets closer. When the time arrives, the site will change from COMING SOON to AVAILABLE - DOWNLOAD A PASS. Click on this link as fast as you can. This will RSVP you for the screening and allow you to print out a ticket.

Third, If you have downloaded a pass and are unable to attend, please release your ticket. Surprisingly, only 1 in 3 people who download a FilmMetro ticket will actually attend the movie screening. This means that almost 70% of the free movie screening tickets go unused. If you are unable to attend, releasing a ticket will provide other FilmMetro members the ability to check it out.

Sincerely,

Brian Meert
