movie screening
how come there are not been any screenings in Denver colorado recently??

Cori Nov 20, 2007 @ 02:11 pm 0   Good Poor
There have been several screenings in Denver in November, including Enchanted and Love In The Time Of Cholera - my suggestion is to check FilmMetro regularly because screenings are always being added.

Not allowed in
Hello, I had reserved a ticket and called the theatre before the show to ask about the show. They told me to be there at 6:30 for the 7:00 showing and that they reserved enough spots so there would be plenty of room. I showed up early and still wasn't allowed in. Be very careful to arrive at least and hour and half ahead of time to make sure you get in. Don't listen to the theatre. I waited over an hour and wasn't allowed in.

I'm fairly new to Film Metro and I just hope that I can get 4 tickets for my family here in Los Angeles on any day except Nov. 29.

11/29 screening
My friend and I were in line 2 hours before the screening time. We were kept waiting without any feedback and ended up not being allowed in. Turns out, New Line Cinema guests were given reserved seating for the same event. This meant very few folks with passes from Film Metro were allowed in.

Golden Compass - Great film
I really liked the Golden Compass. I saw it in San Jose, CA. There was a radio station handing out tickets as well. The guy went down the line and put numbers on each of our tickets (Film Metro and the radio tix). Then they called out the numbers, so people couldn't just crowd around near the front if they had a large number. They seated 400 of us. I would recommend getting there 1.5 hours to be sure to get a "ticket stamped". It also depends how popular the movie is and how many theatres are offering the screenings in the area. The Bucket List happened to be screening the same night in Santa Clara (nearby), so maybe that's the reason there was a "shorter" line. The radio station's tix had a misprint and gave the Santa Clara location instead of the San Jose CA one for this show. I think this movie will do well.

Check the Film Metro website often for new screenings
Here are some suggestions on how to obtain tickets: It helps to subscribe to the enewsletter. They will give the cities and new dates for screenings. When you get it, log into the site and sign up for the screenings. However, I also found I did not get a notice for The Bucket List or P.S. I Love You even though I was on the list. A friend explained that Film Metro seems to purge their email lists frequently. So go into your profile and sign up again (uncheck your enewsletter subscription, save it, then open up your profile again and check the box for the enewsletter and save it again. I would also check the site every other day for some of these December movies. I saw the Golden Compass had "sold out" at all the screenings in the San Francisco Bay area, except San Jose BECAUSE they said the tickets were not available until the day before. So I logged out a little after midnight and printed out my invite. Good luck!

blackdog
The garbage that was said about ;this movie is a "GOD" shame! This movie has nothing to do with GOD, except that everyone should be allowed to choose the way to think to go! Let your brain be the one to think for one's self that is all it pushes! To let what God gave us the ability to choose for one's self! Who gives anyone to think for the people! God put us on earth with the ability to choose right from wrong! didn't he!!!!! the blackdog goes from the Bible there it says to use your brain not some ones word! I will get njudge by God and not man!!! SO PUT THAT IN YOUR PIPE AN SMOKE IT!!! "GOD"same

Wait for the DVD
I saw this over the weekend. The special effects were really great but the story too long to develop. It definitely sets things up for a part 2. It was okay.

I really enjoyed it
I was able to get into the screening in Westwood, near UCLA. I arrived at 5:30 in anticipation of a large college crowd. Thank goodness I did, as I sat in the last row. Also, I had heard that this was part of a trilogy and was worried that I would not understand what was going on. No so, I liked the story and the way it was presented and yes I believe there will be a part II, and I welcome it. It was an exciting movie and the bear king fight scene blew me away. Good Job to the writers and director. And thank you FilmMetro.
