Really enjoyed this movie. Kevin Costner showed how versatile an actor he is. It was very entertaining.

A fun movie with Kostner's typical uneven acting and an unfocused script. Who is the intended audience? The movie feels like it was adapted from a Young Adult novel but 'adjusted' with swear words for an older audience. Which is a shame. As a PG-13 movie, this movie rivals many Disney movies for quality, content, and inspiration but the frequent, uneeded swearing will likly have a number of parents keeping their children home. The movie rarely drags and held my attention well, but I found myself annoyed at times with the unsophisticated way it handled unsophistication.

Funny with a couple of serious important messages. Madeline Carroll is someone to look out for. I expect to see her in a lot more movies.

Great Movie!
Thought this movie was great. However, I had expected it to be a comedy and although there were many funny lines and scenes, the movie was also thought provoking. I am planning to bring others to see this movie when it opens nation wide in August.

A Surprisingly Good Movie!
Initially I wasn't expecting much from this movie, but as the story developed, I came to appreciate the film's main themes/messages. The relationship between the dad (Kevin Costner) and his young daughter (Madeline Carroll) was realistically portrayed and right on the mark. The support characters each made an valuable and memorable contribution to the film. A must see movie especially in an election year!

It's Pretty Good
It's thought provoking & humorous. I liked Costner in this. I usually like his comedic roles better than his serious ones. Madeline Carroll was a good choice and impressive. It will be interesting to see her talent ripen. I liked the message and the ending. It's a different ending -- it wasn't a typical Hollywood ending.

Good Movie
The movie was pretty good, had parts in the movie that you just laugh at.Makes you think about how easy things get out of control, and that we should remember the simple things. Would see it again.

Swing Vote (don't forget to vote)
This is an excellent movie, not only for adults but for the kids as well. It shows in a funny way how important it is to know who and what you put in positions to lead you and your country. The settings and situations portrayed by Kevin Costner and Madeline Carroll was all realistic which i know made alot us think as we enjoyed watching this movie.

Loved the movie, but was distracted by the many people in the audience texting on their cell phones. There was no reminder to turn off phones on the screen or in person?

Truly great movie
It was truly a movie for this election season and for many generations to come. I only had two points of concern. ONe was all the profanity and cursing. It was not necessary to use GOD D@$n when Darn it or fiddle sticks words that Jeff Foxworthy and other blue collar comics have made famous to convey anger. Finally, one point in the movie prior to the debate the Ms. Morales the reporter after viewing the tapes comes to the father and daughter and says "You didn't even vote did you?" He said NO.. she said I am running the story and I just wanted to get my facts straight.. then 30 secs later it cuts to her handing the tape to the little girl from when she tried to trap her and the little girl asks if she can help her prep Bud for the debate.. i was like WHAT? I thought she was going to run the story without hurting the little girl.. what happened? if they edit out the part of the story out.. you would not miss it and it would keep better continuity

SWING VOTE” -- a FINE choice on my “Ballot” =
[From an advance preview:] The ads didn’t make this look very good-- but the ads were MISLEADING (just like the politicians inhabiting this film!) MADELINE CARROLL does a top quality job playing Molly, young-but-mature daughter to her slacker dad “Bud” (KEVIN COSTNER). With surprisingly-believable details, Bud’s shown to be an “uncounted” vote that will help determine a Presidential election between vapid, superficial incumbent Boone (KELSEY GRAMMER) and challenger Greenleaf (DENNIS HOPPER). It’s both very funny and realistically SCARY the way both parties & their two-faced managers keep changing their basic “positions” to try to get Bud’s vote. I have deep disdain for nearly all politicians (most being members of “Hypocrites ’R Us”), & this film astutely shows WHY many people tend to feel that way nowadays. I think so highly of this movie due to an inherent THOUGHT-PROVOKING cleverness in the surprisingly skilled way the story is handled by all involved.

Good Movie
I liked this movie, but saw the ending coming. Madeline Carroll (child actor - Molly) was great!! Made light of political satire in a clever way. Some very touching moments and other hilarious - LOL - moments. I recommend it.
