| Gag to riches story of an orphan in India. The gruesome screens and police brutality are hard to watch. I really enjoyed the movie.

| I saw the SF screening on Danny Boyle's b-day, where he participated in a follow-on Q&A. The film is powerful and moving, with seamless performances by all three sets of actors portraying the three lead characters. Boyle has a deep cultural and artistic appreciation for Bombay/Mumbai & Bollywood's traditions, yet lenses the story with a respectful Western eye. Not every "romantic" wears his heart on his sleeve; Boyle's seething passion as a filmmaker infuses every frame. Equal kudos goes to Loveen Tandan (co-director & India casting). I will definitely see it again. |

| This was an excellent movie! It was quite a surprise how well done it was, in every aspect from casting, plot, technique, flashbacks, and most of all, the development and empathy we felt for each character. Foreign films are sooooo refreshing to see because they possess culture that American movies lack; the discipline of honor, pride, and the courage to face life head on without falling and giving into human digression. Yes, there are always bad guys and good guys in the world, but we hope that good will always travail, otherwise, we will destroy ourselves if we allow evil to overcome our society. See it! Excellent movie! You won't be disappointed. :-) Five stars or a 10 for this movie. |

| I saw this over the weekend and have to say it was one of the best movies I have ever seen. The movie was fast paced and also had all the elements of a great story. I would recommend it to all. WOW! |

| Slum Dog Millionaire is one of the most powerful, entertaining and soul searching movies I've ever seen.
I can't say enough good things about it... The cast, the director, the cinematographers, the editors, the wardrobe and makeup people, you name it, it was all spectacular.
The children actors stole my heart, and the scene with the young boy singing at the train station -and I won't give anything way.. but this child tugged at my heart strings like never before. Man!!
Please go see this movie, I plan on seeing it again. I have to make my piece with it, and I hope these young actors will get the recognition they deserve, as well as the director and others involved with this project.
